This is a class project model a house from a few distorted pic using nurbs. And the Final image is just one i am playing with, trying to merge 3D object into photo.
haha well i tried to do a nice finished render of the rifle, so i used my room setting and tweaked my lighting even more, learned so much again. This render took 32min, I can blame this on my maybe to high sampling ops! I'll turn it down abit and see if i still get a nice crisp look. If not 30min it is from now on.
With the long weekend I set myself a big goal to model something more technical in shape and detail. And here it is AR15 Civil model of the M4. Took me about 9hr to model it, so most of sat, and i spent part of Sunday setting up textures and lighting box.
Hey almost got the lighting down, almost. So much to learn yet. The Room that took me 2hr to model has now taken at least 12hr of my time to light with mental ray using Final Gather & Global Illumination and i dunno how many hundreds of thousands of photons from 3 light sources to create a natural ambient lighting over using a ambient light source and effecting my dark shadows in the room. Big thanks out to my laptop for not melting down on the big render hehe.
Well took me a good 6hr for my first organic model, my hand! I still need to put more detail into it but man didn't think i would do it all in one night just about.
Took me just over 2hr to model my room and almost 3hr to render it out. Using MentalRay naturally, its the only way to render =P Once i add textures it will allow the light rays to bounce around and soften the shadows to create a nice ambient lighting.
Just another play with soft lighting via MentalRay, White Curtain, 1 area light & Final Gathering to produce a soft light over the model, the base of the model reflect the light back softly as well.
And side note, the Model is a 120mm N.A.T.O. SABOT AP shell.
I was just playing around with texturing and lighting options to create this Gem ^^ Nothin much happening this week, maybe i'll scan some sketchs and post those.
